History

We are an Evangelical Covenant Church, rooted in the Word and continuously turning to scripture in every season of life. We love fostering relationships, building a community that becomes family, and growing our family of believers.

We have been blessed to call Stockton, California, home since 1915 when a group of Christians began meeting in a family’s living room. In 1944 they moved into a Quonset hut at our current Oxford and Grange location where they met until WWII ended, dedicating the first building in 1949.

We will continue to work in our community to be the hands and feet of God and the light of Christ to all near and far.

Mission and Vision

Here at Stockton Covenant Church, our mission is to love God, love all our neighbors, and invite everyone to the table.

We envision a community of faith embracing the mosaic of Stockton: a place where people of every culture, ethnicity, and circumstance truly belong, and are invited to grow and deepen authentic relationships with Jesus Christ and others.

Values & Affirmations

Stockton Covenant Church, as a member congregation of the Evangelical Covenant Church, accepts the Holy Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, as the authoritative Word of God and therefore the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine, and life. To learn more, visit our Core Values page.
